Haier Malaysia Starts The Year Big Time! |
Building on its recent ranking as the No. 1 global major appliances brand, Haier yesterday released 16 new gadgets and appliances to the local market. Key highlights included the market’s first double-drive washing machine, a new LED category and 3D refrigerators.
“These products are the result of Haier’s steadfast dedication to innovation, quality and value in meeting the diverse needs of our customers – thus reinforcing our commitment and brand promise to our Malaysian audiences,” said Lye Hun Kwee, Executive Director of Haier Malaysia.
 According to Lye, Haier is the first player in the industry to bring in double-drive washing machines to Malaysia. Double-drive technology offers many benefits to customers – up to 50 percent cleaner wash, 70 percent less abrasion, prevention of tangling, up to 50 percent water and energy savings and up to 70% faster washing than regular machines. Haier washing machines are recognised for their design. In 2008, the company’s large capacity (13kg) washer won the IF Design Award of Germany which focuses on industrial design appearance.
Haier’s ultra-slim LED TVs series include Haier’s leading edge Mo-Box and Mo-Cards, which allows viewers to customise and fulfil their different needs and lifestyle. Currently, Haier offers four different Mo-Cards that offer digital video broadcasting, fitness gaming through true simulation, networking for downloading or streaming videos and PC functionalities.
Another key highlight is the innovative 3D designer refrigerator. The new third dimension that Haier has added is the freezer drawer which revolutionises the functions of the refrigerator, bringing more comfort and convenience. Recognised for its importance at an international level, this inventive feature has won a number much sought-after awards.
