The House of Hennessy Celebrates the Unveiling of Two New Treasures – the Hennessy Paradis Horus and the Hennessy X.O Mathusalem by Berluti.

Celebrated cognac house Hennessy unveiled two new treasures recently during its Hennessy Appreciation Journey to Hangzhou, China in November 2009. The fifth installment in its celebrated Appreciation Journey series, began in 2001 with the Hennessy Luxury Journey of Discovery aboard the fabled Eastern & Oriental Express train. This journey celebrated the re-launch of Richard Hennessy and Hennessy Paradis Extra. Hennessy’s latest Appreciation Journey to picturesque Hangzhou in China’s Zhejiang Province marked the launch of the Hennessy Paradis Horus and the Hennessy XO Mathusalem by Berluti.

Special clients and friends of Hennessy as well as select media from all over the region were invited to the luxurious Fuchun Resort in Hangzhou to witness the launch as well as embark on an exquisite journey of the senses. Inspired by one of the most famous masterpieces of the Yuan Dynasty, ‘Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains’ by Huang Gong Wang, himself regarded as one of the Yuan Dynasty’s four most celebrated artists, the luxurious Fuchun Resort itself resembles the tranquil 700 year-old work of art, surrounded by lush greenery and set amidst terraced tea plantations and a serene lake. It has also been voted as one of Asia’s and China’s leading resorts and counts itself among the hotels listed by the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).

“The remarkable location of Fuchun Resort provides the ideal setting for our voyage as we come face to face with two of the most exquisite cognacs the House of Hennessy has to offer,” says Ruby KH Tang, Regional Director of Moët Hennessy Asia Pacific.

During the journey, guests were invited to experience first-hand the visual and sensory beauty of both the Hennessy Paradis Horus and the Hennessy XO Mathusalem by Berluti before being treated to a modern dance performance, followed by a sumptuous eight-course dinner.

“Hennessy’s Appreciation Journeys are all about rewarding people who have been faithful to the brand as well as finding like-minded individuals wanting to explore new avenues for luxury,” says Frédéric Noyere, the Managing Director of Riche Monde Malaysia, which distributes Hennessy in Malaysia. “These events are the epitome of exclusivity and serve as a small ‘thank you’ to those adventurous enough to openly embrace our cognacs. These journeys, I must add, are experiences money cannot buy as they encompass the elements of heritage, time, duty, creation and the senses, all of which relates back to the elements upon which Hennessy is created.”
