ntv7 is set to make 2010 a year filled with love and happiness followed by great achievements as it invites viewers to come home to feel good with its new line up. Malaysia’s feel good channel unveils what’s in store for loyal fans at the Media Prima Television Networks Screenings 2010 recently.

General Manager of ntv7 Airin Zainul said, “With the ‘Come Home to Feel Good’ tagline, we aim to entice viewers through wholesome content suitable for the urban 1Malaysia family, promoting love and happiness amongst family members and the community. This is reflected by our line up of international syndicated programmes which are shown ahead of pay TV, chart-toppers and award-winning as well as local content that are lifestyle and community skewed.”

Leading the Chinese segment with 22 per cent audience share, ntv7 is strong in delivering high quality content for the mass Chinese. Being the pioneer for top local Chinese dramas, ntv7 will continue this solid strength with compelling new and returning titles. The station also dominates the Chinese prime time hour from 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, averaging a 50 percent viewing share. To date local drama The Iron Lady remains the highest rating Chinese series with 17TVR and 886,000 viewers. “With this achievement, we are proud to continue meeting the demands of viewers who crave for world-class content”, says Airin.

Friends Forever, Glowing Embers, Glittering Days, Neighbourhood and Age of Glory 2 are among the local productions that will grace ntv7’s successful 10:00 p.m. primetime belt while TVB acclaimed dramas with A-list cast such as Steps, Forensic Heroes 2 and Fathers & Sons are aired on Monday to Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. Besides dramas, variety and current affairs programmes that have proven their strength with strong ratings and huge following such as Finding Angels, Siasat Mandarin, e7, Women’s Zone and Shout Out Its Showtime will also return on its 2010 schedule. Other highlights include Mandarin Battlestar – the first primary school Mandarin game show, and The Golden Awards – Malaysia’s first-ever Chinese TV entertainment awards show!

On the Urban front, ntv7 offers “exclusive first” returning series such as The Mentalist, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, American Gladiators, Ghost Adventures and Lie To Me as well as popular local titles Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd, Celebrity Karaoke and the drama series Hartamas.

Viewers will get excited with its line up of new series which include V – a new version of the famous 80s series; Eastwick – a comedic drama about witches; Glee – the hot new musical-comedy drama with over 10 million viewers in the US; Drop Dead Diva – about a model who suddenly has a plus-size body; The Deep End – a drama comedy about four young new lawyers and 100 Questions – about a woman looking for Mr. Right!

Local new series include Crossings – about a guy who keeps getting possessed by ghosts who need his help; What Men Want – a reality-docu drama  based on ‘what men actually want’ and Malaysia’s Most Inspirational – a TV special event to celebrate Malaysia’s most inspirational individual.
