As Yahoo! Southeast Asia’s Director of Sales, Thomas Sipple is in charge of shaping the company’s sales strategy to acquire new advertisers, driving retention and growing Yahoo!’s advertiser relationships across Southeast Asian markets.
In this role, Thomas works closely with Yahoo!’s marketing and affiliate team, and various business heads to grow and further develop Yahoo!’s advertising client base, help top advertisers to maximize their revenue opportunities, provide superior customer service and develop a strong industry presence.
Thomas brings with him more than 12 years of marketing and sales experience in Media and Information Services. Prior to this position, Thomas was based in Yahoo!’s Sunnyvale headquarters where he successfully managed and increased sales revenue from various blue chip advertisers such as AT&T Wireless, Amazon, Adidas, Nintendo, Nordstorm and Starbucks.
Prior to Yahoo! Thomas spent 3 years directing USA TODAY’s brand as a National Account Manager, and successfully drove the company’s corporate sales strategies within the travel industry. Before this, he spent 2 years as a product manager at Primark and 2 years driving the sales management and regional advertising campaigns at Classifax, Inc.
Thomas holds an MBA from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Managerial Economics from Lynchburg College.
