Gaurav has a MBA with specialization in Marketing and Finance.
Some of the major multinational clients for whom he has been involved in crafting
communications strategies are Nestlé, J&J, Gillette, Boots, Coca-Cola, BMW, MasterCard,
Ikea, Motorola, Bausch & Lomb, Swatch Group, Lufthansa, BP, etc. Before joining Universal McCann (UM) he was with MindShare in Singapore where he handled both local and Asia-Pacific assignments and JWT/MindShare in India.
Gaurav is an innovator of growth ideas and a champion of consumer engagement.
Amongst the various awards he has accumulated, the most notable one’s are Global Grand
Prix for Thompson Total Branding (JWT), Best Total Communications Campaign (MindShare Asia Pacific). His work on Gillette was featured in Ad Age Global’s annual selection of the 10 innovations outside of the US!
Under his leadership over the last 3 years, UM Malaysia has posted healthy profits,
achieved amongst the lowest employee turnover and most importantly won accolades from
various clients. Recently, Universal McCann won the Grand Prix & maximum Golds at the
Malaysian Media Awards to become the runners-up Agency of the Year. Gaurav is an enthusiastic photographer and also a learning homoeopath!
