KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Firefly, were the big winners at the Putra Brand Awards 2012 ceremony.

MAS clinched the Gold Award for the Transportation, Travel and Tourism category while its community airline was the recipient of the Most Promising Brand Award.

MAS group chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya and Firefly chief executive officer Ignatius Ong Ming Choy received the awards from Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at a gala dinner here Tuesday night.

Ahmad Jauhari said this award is a fitting testimony that consumers continue to value MAS brand.
