Bringing Marketing Back to the Boardroom!

This month's issue of MARKETING magazine marks a new journey in the life of Sledgehammer Communications (M) Sdn Bhd. Our main title ADOI started as an industry magazine, and rightfully so, but the industry we have been serving for the past 15 years has also evolved beyond all expectations.

So it is timely for us to see the bigger picture with regards to marketing communications. Hence, our MARKETING magazine will be our mainstay brand from this month forward.

As the industry grows, we wish to paint on a broader canvas too. Reaching out to areas of communications that we would not normally do with a strictly ad-industry magazine. Rest assured, creativity is still in our blood; I was a Creative Director at some point in my life for one and a half decades.

MARKETING is the Official Magazine of the Malaysia Effie Awards. It is the only global award that honours achievement in meeting and exceeding marketing communications objectives, with a focus on effective campaigns.

While our presentation and style strives to remain vibrant, MARKETING will be distributed to over 130 bookstores nationwide, unlike ADOI. And our last ABC-audited circulation stands at 12,583 copies.

We also continue our content collaboration with Contagious magazine UK whose co-founder Paul Kemp-Robertson shares, "The inspiration for Contagious came from the fact that the marketing industry had shifted 180-degrees, yet there didn't seem to be a single news and information resource to help advertising professionals navigate
their way through the new landscape."
