New Book on Marketing asks the Right Questions
Monday, 05 September 2011 15:03

500 Questions to Inspire a Marketing Plan is a book that works asking  questions. Written by industry practitioner, Long Yun Siang, it contains over 500 questions from various perspectives in the marketing and communications industry.

At the launch, Yun Siang said, “Questioning is an important aspect of learning. To be well-informed and continue to grow, one must never stop asking questions. Questions sometimes spark more questions and very often answers that fill the gaps we seek to close. Great discoveries and innovation often come on the back of a good question.”

In writing the 500 Questions to Inspire a Marketing Plan, Yun Siang confesses that he does not have all the answers. To him, each question is contextual and while he may be able to help answer the questions or perhaps point you in the right direction, providing answers isn’t the objective of the book.

“The objective of the book is to get you to think harder and grapple with some questions you may not normally ask yourself. Some of questions perhaps are those that we are sometimes too kind to ask ourselves. A sort of brutality we should serve ourselves from time to time. I cannot say for sure what is the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answer to each of these questions. Only you will know, and the context of the brand determines the how and why.”

500 Questions to Inspire a Marketing Plan is available at major bookstores for RM29.90.
