Dato’ Borhanuddin Osman was elected as President of Commercial Radio of Malaysia (CRM) at last week’s AGM for the seventh term. Dato’ Borhan has been CRM’s President since 2004.
This year’s Council Members are Yusry Abu Samah, Mark Heng, Kudsia Kahar, Azrullah Mohd. Nor, Nik Roskiman, Sheela Haran, Sree Pathmanathan, Tuan Haji Mohd. Iskandar Haji Mohd. Nawawi, and Seelan Paul. “This has been yet another exceptional year for the radio industry,” said Dato’ Borhan. “For the first time, radio advertising breached the RM100 million mark in the first quarter of 2010. As an association, CRM has succeeded in overcoming a number of hurdles by continuing to work closely with the government on regulatory issues.” Dato’ Borhan also expressed his appreciation to CRM’s 19 members for their dedication, commitment, and support for such CRM-initiated projects as last year’s inaugural Radio Day on 09 September, Planet Radio, and Radio Fest. |

Other key posts in CRM include Ahmad Izham Omar as Vice President (he previously served as CRM’s Secretary), Malek Ali as Secretary, and Tuan Haji Bakhtiar Haji Arshad as Treasurer.
