|Media Prima Launches Merdeka Campaign 2012|

Media Prima Berhad (Media Prima) Malaysia’s largest integrated media group today announced its national participation in conjunction with Merdeka 2012 celebration through a campaign named, #MYSyg (read as Hashtag My Sayang). The campaign is jointly carried out through Media Prima’s media platforms namely Print, TV Networks, Radio Networks, outdoor and all its digital platforms to commemorate the 55th Merdeka Day celebration.
According to Datuk Johan Jaaffar, Chairman of Media Prima, “We will be celebrating the 55th year of independence and I am sure there are a lot of wonderful untold stories kept within us. Every Malaysian has their own stories to share. It does not matter how old you are and wherever you are at this moment. Let us help you to tell your beautiful Malaysian story to the whole world. Besides flying the Jalur Gemilang, let us all put together the Merdeka Day spirit by taking part in #MYSyg.”
Meanwhile, Dato’ Amrin Awaluddin, Group Managing Director of Media Prima said, “Media Prima has always been supportive of local creative contents and this is one of the way to have it. Be creative and share it with us. Media Prima reaches 24 million viewers on a daily basis; your great stories will be featured nationwide across our multi-platforms and globally via the digital platforms.”
Just like the previous years, Malaysia Merdeka Day 2012 will be celebrated throughout August 2012 until 16 September 2012, the Malaysia Day.
