Following a successful collaboration last year, Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) Malaysia will continue to partner TEDxKL for its 2012 event.

SMG has again signed up as official communications partner to promote the event among national and
regional media outlets to support the running of the annual conference.

TEDxKL will be celebrating its third consecutive annual conference this year in Kuala Lumpur. The event
began with the simple vision for inspiring individuals to share their experiences and insights with a wider
audience and has seen local and international speakers including the late Yasmin Ahmad – Malaysia’s’ renowned film director, leadership expert Roshan Thiran, Pete Teo - producer of 15 Malaysia project, Durren Shahnaz – Co-Founder of IIX Asia, and Jamal Raslan – Poetry Slam Winner among others.

Themed “Interdependence”, TEDxKL 2012 promises an even more interesting line-up of speakers prepared to share their untold stories.

TEDxKL will feature an eclectic list of speakers including Austrian physics professor Dr. Ille Gebeshuber, an inventor of a medical tool that could detect anemia, Myshkin Ingawale, entrepreneur and programmer of CD Baby, Derek Sivers, plus renowned architect, Kevin Mark Low.

Myshkin and Derek are also two TED fellows that have spoken at TED Global conferences before. Other speakers will include an award winning photographer, an endangered animal conservationist as well as an open source information gatherer.

Besides speaking at the event, TEDxKL speakers are also expected to make an appearance at SMG Malaysia’s offices, adding spark to the in-house inspiration talk series.
