Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Group Executive Director of Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd, was re-elected Chairman of the Malaysian Newspaper Publishers Association (MNPA) at its 40th AGM held 21 June 2012 – for an unprecedented eighth term. He has held the Chairman’s post since 2005.

Other members of the Executive Committee – Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Star Publications (M) Bhd, Mr. Ho Kay Tat (Honorary Secretary) and Mr. Liew Sam Ngan, Group Chief Operating Officer / Chief Executive Officer of The China Press Bhd (Honorary Treasurer) – were also re-elected unopposed.
