Cradle Announces Senior Promotions

Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (Cradle), a not-for-profit agency under the Ministry of Finance, recently announced the promotion of three senior team members to new portfolios. Mohammad Iqbal Yusof @ Omar was promoted to Senior Vice President for Corporate Services, while Johnathan Lee Yeow Pin was promoted to Vice President for Commercialisation and Ventures and Ahmad Rizal Abdul Razak was promoted to Vice President for Investment.

Iqbal has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Services since 2008. As the Senior Vice President for Corporate Services, he now expands his scope of responsibility. His new portfolio now entails planning, organising, leading and controlling the overall corporate services division, which consists of Finance & Accounts, Administration, Legal & Intellectual Property (IP), IT Support and Government Liaison, by formulating and implementing sound policies, strategies and systems for the organisation to support the achievement of the organisation’s short and long term business goals and objectives.

Meanwhile, Johnathan, who was previously the Senior Manager for Ideas Bank, currently oversees all business development, commercialisation and special projects for Cradle in his role as Vice President for Commercialisation and Ventures.

Ahmad Rizal, the former Senior Manager for Investment, now takes charge of the full operations for the CIP Catalyst grants and the Coach and Grow Programme managed by Cradle, in his new position as Vice President for Investment

“Iqbal, Johnathan and Ahmad Rizal have contributed many years of invaluable service to Cradle and these promotions are an ideal way of acknowledging their capabilities and at the same time bringing their talents on board our plans to grow Cradle’s scope and relevance in the future,” said Nazrin Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, commenting on the promotions.

Cradle activates revamped website
Cradle, an agency which disburses grants via the Cradle Investment Programme (CIP), trains entrepreneurs under the Coach and Grow Programme (CGP) and engages in other venture development activities, also recently unveiled a completely revamped website that provides a one-stop source on all Cradle-related information.

The new website provides a centralised outlook on all of Cradle’s activities, successes and communications efforts, as well as other relevant informational material via Facebook and Twitter feeds, a media coverage database, a dedicated search engine for the website, and an events calendar, amongst others, to help maximise resources for technopreneurs.
