| KLIA To Expand Its 'Fleet' |

Held in partnership with the Malaysia Asia travel blog, they have finally unveiled the winners of the online contest. Malaysia Airports Senior General Manager, Commercial Services Puan Faizah Khairuddin said "This is the first time Malaysia Airports has organised an online contest and we are extremely encouraged by the response. Through such efforts, our goal is to heighten travellers' awareness of the offerings and services at our international airports and add to their overall travel experience." "The contest is part of Malaysia Airports' overall plan to incorporate the use of social and digital media to boost awareness among the online community of KLIA as a lifestyle destination, enabling us to reach a wider and younger target group of consumers," she added. The ten winners of the online contest won RM5,000 of shopping vouchers which can be redeemed at retail and food & beverage outlets at any of Malaysia's international airports. There will be a second tender briefing for its KLIA 2 low-cost terminal at the Pan Pacific Hotel KLIA later this month says Khairuddin at the presentation. KLIA 2 contains total retail space of 35,200sq m, contributing an enhanced shopping, dining and relaxation experience aimed at heightening the vibrancy of the airport, Khairuddin said. She also said that KLIA 2 will also be a technology-driven, shopper-oriented travel and lifestyle hub infused with a youthful culture. "With KLIA 2, we want to create an exciting retail adventure; a new and differentiated retail experience where services are a step ahead, facilities future-oriented, offerings robust and the experience unforgettable. It will be the ultimate travel retail platform to showcase brands, products and services," she said. |


Indulge Till You Fly 2011/2012, the retail campaign by Malaysia Airports that was held from December 2011 to January 2012 attracted close to 800 participants.
