|McCann Erickson and Leo Burnett celebrate Maxis wins!|

After a long-running pitch since last year, Maxis has appointed McCann Erickson the corporate and post-paid segment and Leo Burnett the pre-paid Hotlink business.
Incumbents were Ogilvy & Mather (post-paid and corporate) and BBDO/Proximity who held the Hotlink segment of the business for Maxis. It is believed Grey and Saatchi & Saacthi also made a run for the account.
Maxis said in a statement to ADOI, "As a matter of routine and part of a good corporate governance process, Maxis conducted a review of its creative agencies in the second half of 2011. After an extensive evaluation and due consideration, we have selected McCann Erickson and Leo Burnett as our creative agencies."
Total tracked media spend by Nielsen for brand Maxis in 2011 is RM137.6 million.
