Vochelle Chocolates have teamed up with Next Digital Malaysia to produce a 24-series webisode starring some of Malaysia’s up and coming talents.

This drama follows the life of Shera Samad, a college over-achiever who is fighting to save her college newspaper from being replaced by an online version written by a celebrity blogger. Along the way, she experiences the trials and tribulation of being a college student in the modern era, while discovering the meaning of love and friendship.

The launch of Khabar Cinta is in line with Vochelle’s new tag line “It’s Choco-Lots-of-Love”, which encourages urban young adults to express their love and to share that joy with loved ones.

“We wanted to make Khabar Cinta something that young urban females can relate to in their everyday life”, said Nora Ismail, Senior Creative for Next Digital Malaysia. “We wanted the stories to be about the positive moments in life and how we express them to friends, family and loved ones”.
“We’re very excited to be a part of this project as this is the first time that something like this has ever been done in Malaysia”, added Janet Teo, Chief Executive Officer at Next Digital. “Each 5-minute webisode will be uploaded for viewing on Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm. The first webisode was uploaded on 3 April 2012 and have so far garnered thousands of views in the first week. Two webisodes will be uploaded every week all the way till June 2012, when the Final Episode will be made available.
