XM-JWT Refreshes MAS’ Website
Tuesday, 22 February 2011 14:32

Malaysia Airlines unveiled its redesigned malaysiaairlines.com website with enhancements including a clean fresh look and simplified navigation. Users can now also review promotional deals, book a flight from almost any page and get information on other related travel requirements such as airport transfers, hotels and car rentals.

This is part of the continuous efforts of Malaysia Airlines to elevate the user experience on the site in order to create an intimate relationship between the customer and the brand.

“Online booking is nearing its full potential in several world regions. On average, the availability of online booking is the third most important consideration when arranging a trip. Passengers are also showing an increasing willingness to use self-service options when available,” said Executive Vice President, Commercial Strategy, Dr. Amin Khan.

“In keeping aligned with today’s customers, Malaysia Airlines has refreshed the website to provide a one-stop travel site.  Understanding our customer preferences, we worked with our travel partners to integrate all components of a trip --such as flights, holiday packages, hotels, rental cars, and more – into the site,” he said.

“The new look offers a simple yet contemporary design built around the information needs of customers. The site features a cleaner look, re-engineered site architecture, and improved integration between information-rich content and sales opportunities.

The functional design also significantly improves the navigation experience by providing valuable information and offers. The enhanced usability of the internet booking engine, further simplifies the purchase process while improving conversion and revenue with every booking,” said Amin.

In addition, the feature-rich website is powered by a multi-channel customer experience platform. This enables Malaysia Airlines the online marketing agility to attract new audiences, deliver targeted, relevant content, and optimize site campaigns in real time for increased click-through, conversion and subsequently, to generate revenue. The integration of this one-of-a-kind enterprise platform is the first in Malaysia. This website refresh project is made possible by the joint effort of Malaysia Airlines, XM-JWT Malaysia (formerly RMG), Adobe and SITA.
