The Full Story….

For decades, the Chinese have migrated from one place to another in hope of better opportunities. But no matter what, on Chinese New Year's eve, everyone will come home.

Not only did adaptability take them far and wide, it also helped them excel and find ways to integrate their culture into the places they have never dreamt of. For example, the dragon dance originated from China while Lou Sang, from Malaysia.

For these CNY TVCs Petronas travelled the world to capture six true to life stories of Chinese energy all over the world.

There are many Chinese dentists and doctors in different provinces of India. And while their numbers have lessened over the years, the community is still going strong.

In China, no matter if they are rich or poor, everyone will do all they can to have a good and happy reunion dinner as it sets the tone for the year ahead.

London has a huge Chinese community. The very first settlers were the sea men brought in by the East India Company. They brought with them colourful parades and fireworks. Though many are still involved in laborious jobs such as the catering business, they don't mind the hard work and are insistent of good education for the next generation.

Few would know that Antwerp in Belgium houses one of the best martial arts school. The master, who brought his martial arts skills to Antwerp, has been teaching many, even the non-Chinese. To keep traditions alive, every year, with their martial arts skills, they will perform the lion dance on the streets of Antwerp.

Most of the Chinese in Thailand work as fishermen. Some have progressed to own fleets. Though they refer to themselves as Thai and rarely Chinese, they still hold onto their Chinese values.

The Chinese make up almost a quarter of Malaysia's population, integrating themselves into the culture and contributing to the progress of the country. While some are, more successful than others, at the end of the day, they never forget where they came from.
