Here today, gone tomorrow.
Many moons ago, your lola would shop with a list of grocery items in her purse. She’d hie off to the market with a dab of Cashmere Bouquet on her cheeks. A spray of Fressinet and parfum bought from Botica Boie would complete her retinue.
She went to Divisoria every Saturday. On her list were must-buys: Purico (for frying and other ‘ginisa’ cooking), Camay (for your sister’s facial beauty regimen), Lifebuoy (for your kuya’s after-basketball shower), Darigold (for your baby bunso), Perla and Breeze (for your labandera), Pancho Pantera (chocomilk for the unruly kids), and when she’s overly generous, Glo-Co Lipstick (for the maids).

At the Singapore Media Awards (SMA) Show 2011 organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As), more local brands like F&N, Sentosa and Tiger Airways, together with government campaigns stood out for their strategic thinking and innovative use of media. In overall, Mindshare Singapore upheld the title of ‘Media Agency of the Year’ for a second year, while ZenithOptimedia clinched the Grand Prix award with its ‘Heineken Office Chair Grand Prix’ campaign.

InMobi, the world’s largest independent mobile ad network, today revealed its Mobile Insights Report – Asia Pacific Regional Summary for Q2 2011, reporting a gain of 8 billion ad impressions over Q1 2011. The Asia Pacific mobile ad market grew by 17% to over 55 billion quarterly ad impressions on the InMobi network. Following the global trend, smartphone impression growth overtook that of advanced phones. The comprehensive report is based on data sourced from InMobi’s global mobile advertising network which served 104.9 billion mobile ad impressions in Q2 2011.
