Professor Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing and Global Business at Goizueta Business School, Emory University, USA, has been conferred the Global Management Guru Award instituted by Birla Institute of Management Technology for his contributions and Thought Leadership in the field of management.

Dr. Jagdish Sheth is a renowned scholar and world authority in the field of marketing. His insights on global competition, strategic thinking and customer relationship management are considered quite revolutionary. As said by Chairman of the Jury, Padma Sri Professor Pritam Singh ‘This is the foundation year of the Award and BIMTECH has been working very judiciously to establish this Award at an international level’.

For more than a century, the Birla family has been engaged in shaping the destiny of India as a modern nation by active involvement in industry, society and culture. Various corporate houses branched out from the Birla family are credited with the promotion of education, health, social work, art, culture and philanthropy. Prof Jag is scheduled to visit KL in late July to talk about his book Chindia Rising.
